Adopt a DOG

"Missy" is a female Rottweiler aged approx 3 years old. She is an extremely affectionate and loving dog but she is very scared of strangers at first, often hiding in the back of her kennel. Once she knows and trusts you she will give you loads of hugs and kisses! She gets on very well with some other dogs but she does not like cats. She loves to go for walks, walking very well on a lead. She really is an adorable girl and just needs an experienced and loving owner with patience to help Missey grow in confidence. She would make a very rewarding pet.

"Sparkles" is a female Collie cross aged 3 years old. Up until Sparkles came to the centre she spent her life chained in a back yard with no freedom and little company. She is very happy to finally now be free from the chain and to be getting the socialisation that all dogs need. She is a very loving girl. She mixes well with some othber dogs. She enjoys walks and walks well on a lead.

Bree is a female Staffordshire Bull Terrier aged approx 2/3 years old. She has an excellent temperament and gets on well with other dogs. She is very affectionate and loves cuddles. She would make a great pet.

Bizzie is male Jack Russell less than 1 year old. This little boy is a live wire and a real personality in the centre. He gets on well with most other dogs. He is full of energy and has lots of love to give. He is still a puppy so will require some obedience training.

Harpo is a male black lab cross aged between 1+2 years old. Harpo was badly treated in his last home and in desperate need of being rescued. He is settling in well at the centre but would benefit greatly from being in a loving stable home where he can settle properly and he can start enjoying life as he deserves. He is good with other dogs. Would be best suited to an owner with experience.

Mona is a young wire haired terrier cross. She is a quiet girl and quite timid of people at first but very loving when she gets to know people better. She is very well behaved and is great with other dogs. She would make an excellent family pet.

Hooch is a black labrador. His is a lively boy and will need a firm owner..

Dora is a Lab Collie cross aged approx 5 / 6 months old. She is a very striking dog and has a great temperament. She is still a pup and has quite alot of growing to do yet so she will be a big girl when fully grown. She is mixing very well with other dogs. She would make an excellent pet for a family with older children.

"Rudy" is a male Japanese Akita approx 3/ years old. He is a big teddy bear who enjoys to play with toys and loves to go for walks. He is a very large dog and is strong so he will need an owner who has experience of large dogs and preferably this breed. He came into the centre with Roxy (below) and we would ideally like them homed together but will separate if necessary. He gets on well with Roxy but he would not be suitable for a home with another pet.

"Roxy" is a female Japanese Akita aged between 3+4 years old. She like many female akitas was overbred in her last home and she is gradually putting on weight at the centre. She has a good temperament and enjoys walks. She would be best suited to a home where she will be the only pet unless homed with Rudy. Potential new owner must have experience with large breeds.  

Stanley is a terrier corgi cross aged 1 year old. He is an adorable little man and gets on great with other dogs. He will need a home where he will have company most of the day as he hates being left alone. Would also need an owner with experience. He is extremely affectionate and loving. A real wee character. 

Bob - a collie cross aged approx 2 years old. Bob is a very happy boy indeed. He just loves the company of both people and other dogs.
He is extremely affectionate and is selling himself very well to members of the public who visit the centre!! He would make an excellent pet.
