Special Appeal - CODY

Inline

Cody is a male Golden Retriever cross, 7 years old, but very active and playful, he gets on very well with female dogs but not so well with other males. He is a very friendly boy. He is quiet, gentle and easy-going. He is also playful and walks very well on a lead. He would make an excellent pet in a home where there are no cats as he does not seem to like them!

EDWINA's Story

Inline

"Edwina" is a tiny little adult terrier cross who was brought to the centre last month after being found wandering around remote countryside near Ardmore with horrific injuries to both her back legs. She was taken immediately to Drumahoe vet clinic where Eddie Campbell performed emergency surgery on her wounds in an attempt to save the most badly damaged of her legs. Eddie believes that this little dog was used for badger baiting or dog fighting and her wounds were at least 3 days old when she was found. She needed alot of stitches to close over her gaping wounds and she must have been in immense pain but she amazed both Eddie and staff at the centre by her resilient and feisty attitude and made a full and speedy recovery before finding a new and loving home where she is now called "Eedy".

Land for new centre

The RainbowRehoming Centre is actively seeking land where we could build a purpose built centre to improve conditions for the animals. Our existing building is not adequate due to the number of animals coming into our centre. We are open to suggestion for the area and ideally we would be looking for approximately 1 or 2 acres of land, but we are open to any offer. If you could offer help or advice, please contact us.
